Tokuyama Estelite Sigma Quick Syringe, OA2, 3.8 g is used for direct anterior and posterior restorations that benefit from an opalescent A2 shade with greater opacity than standard body shades. OA2 is particularly useful for Class III and Class IV restorations, where the absence of supporting tooth structure can allow the dark oral cavity to influence the final appearance.

In an anterior proximal or incisal restoration, a controlled layer of OA2 can help reduce grayness while maintaining an A2-based shade relationship with adjacent dentition. The material can also be used for composite veneers, diastema closure, and repair of composite or porcelain surfaces when a more opaque A2-toned restorative layer is preferred. Each pack contains 1 syringe with 3.8 g of OA2 Estelite Sigma Quick light-cured universal composite. Dental offices ordering opalescent composite from their supplier can buy this OA2 configuration for anterior restorations where a standard A2 shade may appear too translucent due to limited backing tooth structure.

OA2 is an opalescent specialty shade with a contrast ratio of approximately 0.65, making it more opaque than standard Estelite Sigma Quick shades while remaining less opaque than the dedicated OPA2 option. The formulation uses uniformly spherical supra-nano fillers, including silica-zirconia and composite filler technology, with filler loading of 82% by weight and 71% by volume. Syringe delivery supports measured dispensing during layered placement, and the non-sticky, sculptable consistency helps maintain proximal form, incisal contour, and marginal definition before polymerization.Estelite Sigma Quick uses Tokuyama’s Radical Amplified Photopolymerization Technology, or RAP Technology, to combine extended manipulation time with efficient light curing.

Under specified ambient-light conditions, the material provides up to 90 seconds of working time, allowing additional time to refine layering and anatomy before activation. With suitable curing-light output and qualifying increment thickness, curing can be completed in approximately 10 seconds. Its spherical filler architecture promotes uniform light diffusion, high polishability, gloss retention, wear resistance, and radiopacity.

This OA2, 3.8 g syringe variant is distinguished by its A2-oriented opalescent opacity, making it especially useful when a standard A2 shade may appear too translucent in anterior restorations with limited backing tooth structure, while preserving the handling profile of the universal composite system.
