Matrix Band Fig 1 – Creating Proximal Contour in Posterior Restorations
Matrix Band Fig 1 is an auxiliary dental instrument used by dentists especially in composite and amalgam restorations on posterior teeth to obtain proximal contour and a correct contact area. It provides proper adaptation and helps preserve the anatomical form of the restoration.
- Supports creating a contact point with the adjacent tooth and a natural tooth form
- Prevents excessive overflow of material in composite and amalgam restorations
- Allows cavities on posterior teeth to be reshaped anatomically
