Tokuyama Sofreliner Tough Primer, 10 mL is used for promoting adhesion between Sofreliner Tough silicone reline material and compatible acrylic denture-base resin during chairside soft relining procedures. The primer prepares the acrylic fitting surface before the Soft or Medium silicone paste is applied, helping establish a stable interface between the existing denture base and the resilient liner.
During relining of a complete or partial removable denture, the acrylic surface is cleaned and mechanically prepared, the primer is applied to the designated bonding area, and the Sofreliner Tough paste is then dispensed for seating and functional molding. Its dedicated bonding role supports reliable liner retention while preserving the cushioning properties of the silicone reline material. Each pack contains 1 bottle with 10 mL of Sofreliner Tough Primer. Dental offices ordering acrylic bonding primer from their supplier can buy this refill for practices already using Sofreliner Tough S or M silicone liners, since it does not include paste cartridges, mixing tips, shaping points, finishing points, or other kit accessories.
The liquid is designed for use with compatible acrylic denture-base materials and with Sofreliner Tough S and Sofreliner Tough M addition-cure silicone liners. It is applied as a controlled coating to the prepared acrylic surface before the mixed silicone material is placed. The primer is specifically intended for acrylic resin surfaces and is not used as a general-purpose bonding agent for metal, nylon, or silicone denture substrates.Sofreliner Tough Primer works by conditioning the prepared acrylic surface to improve attachment of the subsequently placed silicone liner.
After primer application, the automixed Sofreliner Tough material is applied to the fitting surface, the denture is seated for functional adaptation, and the silicone is allowed to polymerize before trimming and finishing. A continuous primer layer helps create dependable adhesion along the reline interface while allowing the cured liner to retain its resilient, tissue-cushioning behavior. This 10 mL refill is distinguished by its dedicated compatibility with Sofreliner Tough S and M materials, acrylic-specific bonding function, liquid application format, and role in maintaining liner retention during chairside soft denture relining.
