Kerr Dental Take 1 Advanced, Value Pack, Tray Body Wash, Regular Set is used for capturing impressions for crown and bridge, inlay and onlay, and implant procedures, giving clinicians a hydrophilic vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) tray material with strength, elasticity, and dimensional stability. When a clinician is taking a multi-unit impression and wants the regular set time for added manipulation time before the tray is seated, this regular set material gives that working window.
The tray material forms the supporting layer under a lighter wash material, and the two layers set together into one impression in the double-mix and sandwich techniques. The cartridges fit common automix dispensing systems.Each pack contains 24 cartridges at 50 mL each, in dark blue, regular set, for the tray layer of an impression. The material is a hydrophilic VPS tray material, and it is dispensed from the cartridges through a compatible automix dispensing system.
The dark blue color identifies the tray material at a glance, and the 24 cartridges hold 1,200 mL of material in total.The material is dispensed from the cartridge into the impression tray, where it supports the lighter wash placed on the prepared tooth and surrounding tissue. Its hydrophilic character lets it work in a moist intraoral environment, and its outstanding tear strength and elongation let the set material stretch around undercuts without tearing or distorting on removal from the mouth. Excellent dimensional stability means the impression does not distort from temporary deformation or dimensional change between removal and pouring, which supports accurate models.
VPS impression materials are addition-cured, which gives low shrinkage and good dimensional accuracy, and the regular set suits complex cases and multi-unit impressions that need more time at the chair before the tray is seated, with the tray material holding the wash against the tissue while it sets.
